Autoworld is a dealer in motor vehicle parts, tyres, accessories, car audio systems, garage equipment, petroleum products, boats, marine equipment and accessories in Zambia. It has established itself as one of the leading companies in the motor trade industry.

History

Autoworld First Building

Autoworld was established as a Limited company in May 1992. Over the years the company has positioned itself as one of the leading companies in the motor trade industry with seven branches and three franchises throughout Zambia. The head office is located on Freedom Way, Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. This comprises of offices, a showroom, 5 retail outlets, a warehouse and a fitment centre all under one roof.

The Ndola branch opened in July 1999. This was followed by the Kitwe branch in 2000. The next branch to open was in the tourist capital of Zambia, Livingstone, in March 2002. The largest Autoworld branch opened next in December 2006 on the Kafue Road next to the Downtown Shopping Centre in Lusaka. The Kafue Road branch consists of the main boat showroom, fitment centre, parts, tyres and accessories retail outlet, warehouse and ample parking to cater for the increasing number of cars on the Zambian roads. In October 2007 the next branch to open was in the Comesa area of Lusaka on Lumumba Road. In 2009 the Mazabuka branch opened followed by a branch in the Woodlands Shopping Centre in Lusaka in 2010. The three franchises in Buseko (an area of Lusaka), Kabwe and Chipata all opened in 2007.

With the exception of the Livingstone branch, all Autoworld outlets comprise of a fitment centre fitted with the latest state of the art electronic equipment providing motor vehicle servicing, car audio system and electronic security installations and professional wheel balancing and alignment.

Future

Autoworld Kabwe

Autoworld will be adding a ninth branch in Kapiri due to open in 2011 that will follow suit with most of it's other branches by providing both a fitment centre and retail outlet.

Our aim at Autoworld is to have a branch in all the provincial centres of Zambia with the prospect of establishing branches throughout Africa and the rest of the world. The model for accomplishing this vision is through franchising. This has already begun to be realized with our first franchise that opened in Buseko in Lusaka in February 2007, the second in Kabwe in April 2007 and the third in Chipata in October 2007.
